How we verify employers and agencies
The checks
Company registration
We check the organisation at Companies House. It must be active, and the name must match. We note how long it has been trading. Sole traders and partnerships show us other evidence.
Business email
The person posting confirms an email address on the organisation's own domain. Personal email addresses need extra checks, and temporary inboxes are refused.
Control of the website
The organisation proves it controls its website's domain. If it cannot, we confirm by phone, using a number we find ourselves rather than one we were given.
Reviewed by our team
Our team checks that the website and details match, and that agencies really are recruitment businesses. Nothing goes live until every check has passed.
After verification
- Team members can only join using an email address on the organisation's own domain.
- Every job is screened. Anything that looks like a scam is held until our team has checked it.
- Application links must go to the employer's own website or a recognised recruitment system, or our team checks them first.
- Anyone can report a job. Reported jobs are taken down until we have reviewed them.
Staying safe when you apply
- QSJobs.com never charges candidates, and genuine employers never ask for fees for training, DBS checks, visas or equipment.
- Do not share bank details, your passport or your National Insurance number until you have a written offer from an employer you trust.
- Keep conversations on QSJobs.com or with the employer's official email address. Be wary of WhatsApp, Telegram or personal email addresses.
- Be wary of pay that seems too good to be true, interviews held by text message, or pressure to decide quickly.
